When it comes to American football matches, the Madden franchise has long been the cream of the crop. But now it has a competition – not only from EA Sports’ own university football game, but also in the form of a mobile game NFL -Rivalsthat records NFTs.
Although NFL Rivals does not try to surpass Madden when it comes to presenting a lifelike simulation at your game console, it is a free to play, Arcade-style mobile football match with the same official licenses of the competition and players, and offers entertainment eruptions on your smartphone or tablet.
It also contains NFTs based on players who, if you are lucky, can mention on the secondary market to try to make some real money. Or, if you want to achieve a competitive advantage, you can drop some dollars to buy the NFT players cards you need to improve your line -up.
Here is a look at NFL rivals and how the optional NFT functionality works.
What are NFL rivals?
NFL Rivals is a mobile game available on iOS and Android that challenges you to build a team of NFL players from digital maps that you get from packs in the store. If you have ever played the Ultimate Team mode in an EA sports title, such as Madden or Fifa, you will immediately get the idea.
As soon as you have your team, you can only play offensive games against the AI, or take challenges that you place in a scenario mastal one in which you lose in the fourth quarter and you have to win to earn some rewards. There are also limited time events, competitions to get through, and of course thousands of NFL players to unlock as you progress through the game.
Upcoming updates promise to add live player-versus-player (PVP) matches, instead of playing alone against the AI team that someone has built. However, the lack of defensive game, at least for the time being, could limit the excitement of PVP game.
How to play NFL rivals
After you have downloaded NFL rivals to your iOS or Android device, it is very easy to learn and it has a strong tutorial to teach you the basics.
If you rise the field, you only play offensively – and every Snap you get the choice of three games to run, none of which are particularly complicated. If you select a running play, tap the screen to click the ball, which is automatically spent on the decline. From there you use the virtual joystick and buttons to walk as quickly as possible if you can get away from the defenders, even recording juks and diving along the way.

If you choose a passing game, your QB will take the Snap and the recipients start their routes. When you see and want to throw an open receiver, pull down the screen to set the power and hang the ball in their direction. When you let go, the ball flies in that direction – and when they are within reach, they automatically catch the ball. You then control their run across the field, just like when it is declining.
There are also stairs to deal with, where you have to put a fast -moving beam in the green zone twice to make the stairs.
How do the NFTs work?
The web3 aspect of NFL rivals comes in the form of NFT cards, which the players can represent in your team. While you unlock or buy mysterious packages of players to improve the skills of your team, some Le maps that are NFTs are, while other basic cards are not NFTs and are therefore not tradable via the market. The NFTs have been beaten on the Mythos chaina gaming-centric blockchain built on Polkadot Tech.

If you are lucky, or drop some money to buy more expensive player packages, then you have the chance to unlock rare players, higher quality versions or limited time event cards, all of which can be sold on the external secondary marketplace.
To do that, you must get some mythos (myth) tokens, which you can then use to make the actual transactions to buy cards or to cash in your income. You can also buy these tickets via Premium in-game currency that is not on the blockchain, directly via the app, which is a way to bypass the crypto restrictions that the App Store and Play Store have.
With the update of the game of the game that is launched in addition to the new NFL season, there were actually quite a few transactions on the external market – so although there is no guarantee that someone wants to buy your NFT, it is a pretty active market. Many players seem to be willing to drop some money to upgrade their team.
