Flamingo Finance has introduced a new Community Engagement initiative, The Flock, to replace the Legacy FLM Hodlers program. The new platform-specific Discord channel is accessible to holders of the Flocks token and is designed to facilitate an open dialogue and to lay a platform for community governance.
The herd serves as a private channel on the Flamingo Discord, where eligible participants can freely discuss topics with regard to the Flamingo platform, including previous developments, current initiatives and future directions. Participation is open to every user who holds herds tokens and connects their wallets via the Discord -Bot in the channel “Join the Flock”.
The initiative introduces layered roles based on the amount of herds in the synchronized wallet of a user:
- Egg – more than 10 herds
- Hatchling – More than 1,000 herds
- VOLED – More than 10,000 herds
- Flapper – More than 100,000 herds
- Flamingo – More than 1,000,000 herds
- Herd leader – more than 10,000,000 herds
These roles offer unique identification data such as custom colors and icons within the exclusive channel. The herd will also act as an informal forum for decision-making, with the direction of token-weighted input form platform direction until the formal DAO has been established.
Future competitions and events exclusively for the herd are also planned, so that participation and community activities are further encouraged.
The Flock replaces the FLM Hodlers program, which was launched in December 2021. The earlier program offered benefits such as exclusive channel access, roles -based participation and competitions. Although the program has now been archived, its content continues to collect on request.
For the not yet synchronized herds holders, merging the herd requires the execution of the assignment! Link in the designated Discord channel, verifying the linked wallet via a provided URL and completing the process with the Flamingo Emoji response. Users can register multiple portfolios under one Discord account.
